Gut-Healthy Chipotle Honey Vinaigrette

Gut-Healthy Chipotle Honey Vinaigrette

This Gut-Healthy Chipotle Honey Vinaigrette is a better-for-you twist on the classic Chipotle Mexican Grill dressing. First, it delivers the same smoky, tangy, subtly sweet flavor. In addition, it replaces inflammatory oils with nourishing fats that support gut and cellular health. Most importantly, every ingredient works with your body, not against it.

Unlike most bottled dressings that rely on seed oils and added sugars, this version uses anti-inflammatory fats and natural sweetness. As a result, it supports balanced energy and better digestion. Additionally, it’s quick to make, incredibly versatile, and tastes even better than the original. Overall, it’s bold flavor and real nourishment in one bottle.

✨ Recipe Overview

  • Makes: About 1¼ cups — perfect for weekly meal prep.
  • Prep Time: 10 minutes — therefore, it fits easily into busy schedules.
  • Cook Time: 0 minutes — no heating required.
  • Dietary Info: Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Paleo, AIP (with modifications)

To begin, gather your fresh ingredients and a blender. Then, you’ll blend until smooth for a creamy, silky dressing. After that, you can tweak the flavor to taste before storing. Essentially, it comes together in minutes.

🥄 Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp apple cider vinegar — this gives the base its tanginess.
  • 1–3 tbsp raw honey (to taste); meanwhile, adjust sweetness gradually.
  • ¾ cup BodyBio Balance Oil (use code MROSS for 15% off) or olive oil
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ⅛ tsp ground cumin
  • 1½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 chipotle peppers in adobo
  • 2 small garlic cloves, chopped

🌀 Instructions

  1. First, add all ingredients to a blender or mini food processor.
  2. Then, blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Next, adjust to taste — more honey for sweetness, vinegar for tang, or salt to balance.
  4. Finally, transfer to a glass jar and store in the fridge for up to 5 days. Shake before using.

It’s worth noting the dressing will thicken when chilled. Therefore, let it rest at room temperature for 10 minutes before serving. Alternatively, shake vigorously if using it straight from the fridge.

🌿 Functional Benefits

To start with, healthy fats support cell hydration and nutrient absorption. Likewise, apple cider vinegar promotes smoother digestion. Furthermore, chipotle and garlic provide antioxidants that help calm inflammation. Together, these ingredients create a dressing that protects, soothes, and nourishes.

🍴 How to Use

  • Drizzle over grain bowls or salads; in addition, it enhances flavor instantly.
  • Toss with roasted vegetables; afterward, sprinkle with sea salt.
  • Use as a marinade for protein; meanwhile, reserve extra for serving.
  • Pour over taco bowls or wraps; similarly, use as a dipping sauce.

For example, it pairs beautifully with leafy greens and grilled chicken. On the other hand, it also works as a smoky dip or finishing sauce. Basically, you can use it anywhere you’d normally add bold flavor.

💛 Why You’ll Love It

  • Made with real, gut-supportive ingredients — as a result, you feel good after eating.
  • Bold, smoky, naturally sweet flavor — plus, it tastes restaurant-quality.
  • No refined sugar or inflammatory oils — instead, it’s powered by whole foods.
  • Inspired by Chipotle, but more nourishing — ultimately, better for your gut.

This dressing stays fresh in the fridge for up to 5 days. However, do not heat BodyBio Balance Oil. Instead, drizzle the dressing after cooking for the best benefits and flavor. That way, the fats stay protected and fully functional.

I store this dressing in the freezer to preserve the oil’s integrity and extend its shelf life. It doesn’t freeze solid and melts quickly when added to warm or room-temperature foods.
